Hailing from Germany’s Black Forest, Fejká was discovered at 16 by electronic icon Christian Löffler. His rise led to the #1 spot in Apple Music’s top electronic playlist, over 100 million streams, and a 30-city album tour – including a sunrise live set on Fusion Festival’s second biggest stage.

As a lifelong and studied filmmaker, Fejká creates all visual aspects of his project himself. Collaborations with artists like Christian Löffler, Hania Rani, and Jan Blomqvist, plus support from Ben Böhmer and Kiasmos highlight his growing influence in the electronic scene.

2025 marks a turning point: After 8 years on Löfflers Ki Records, Fejká founded his own label Coexist, exploring the connections and polarities withing art & nature. Through his Stuttgart-based event series, he curates unforgettable club nights and day concerts, inviting acts like Weval, Löffler or Kiasmos.

WWD: Welcome to When We Dip! Lots of exciting things are coming your way. First up was a big show with Ben Böhmer on July 26th. Was it your first time sharing the stage with him? How was it for you?

Thanks guys! Sharing the mainstage of a festival with Ben was definitely something I was really looking forward to for a long time! I feel like our sounds match really well together and I was so happy to get this request. We met each other 6 years ago in a small bar in Kreuzberg, Berlin when he was sharing his studio with Nils Hoffmann & Kalipo and just released his first EP on Anjunadeep. A loooot has happened since then for both of us!

WWD: Your live sets are known for their emotional depth and flow—how do you craft a performance that resonates in a big venue setting?

Big venue settings are really interesting, as every small detail of your sound suddenly “explodes” when upscaled to a bigger volume and crowd. Everything needs to be balanced very precisely. I like to see my performance as a symbiosis between harmonic & melodic exploration on the one side and the punchy basic framework of electronic music on the other hand.

WWD: You just invited Janus from Kiasmos to your label showcase on October 24th & you play a DJ Set in a planetarium – how did that come about?

Janus Rasmussen is a genius – every time we see each other there is some sort of positive drive and creative energy sparkling out of us. I was lucky to join their booking agency von der haardt during my time at Christian Löfflers Label Ki Records and it was just a matter of time until I wanted to have him on my event series!

About the planetarium – visuals have always been a big part of my life in general. I studied filmmaking and I love when music and visuals come together to form a new experience. Receiving the offer to run the #100 Edition of Stuttgart’s popular “Tunesday” event series (thanks Ubbo!) was a great honor and I’m happy to contribute a DJ-Set to it alongside my label friends Memum and Holophote (Visuals).

WWD: ‘Azur,’ your latest album, is a beautifully cohesive journey – what’s the story behind it and the emotions you wanted to convey?

After touring with my previous album ‘Hiræth,’ I took a break and spent time on Gran Canaria with 10 creative friends, surrounded by stunning nature. That time of reflection inspired ‘Azur’ — a fresh, positive wave of sound compared to the melancholic tone of ‘Hiræth.’

The album captures feelings of clarity, freedom, and connection — both with others and with myself. The title track ‘Azur’ symbolizes peace and confidence, following intuition without overthinking. It’s a musical reflection of that vibrant time on the island

WWD: How do you strike a balance between light and dark in your production? Is it intentional?

I love the balance between dreamy music and danceable music, music which you can listen to during the day but which makes you move in the club too. I often refer to the natural contrast of light and shadow when I talk about this perfect line of balance in music production. It was never intended, but I realized it at some point. In the end, I decided to call my label Coexist, referring to such dualities like day & night, euphoria / melancholy, dream & dance music.

WWD: Were there any tracks on ‘Azur’ that challenged you creatively or took unexpected turns in the studio?

Yeah totally! It took me ages to find a good drop for ‘Azur.’ At one point, I was close to giving up on the track, haha. On the other hand, the track ‘Solana’ is so old that I don’t even have the project for it any more. I had to split up the track into stems using AI-Software (thanks Julia Borelli!!), before I added more layers like a new kick, percussion etc. My mixing Broski Julian Lindenman helped me to make it sound more like a modern Fejká track, coherent to the other album tracks.

WWD: Do you ever find yourself returning to tracks that didn’t quite fit at the time? What draws you back to them?

Next to being on the road, I feel like it’s a great time to finally finish some demos I started in the last months. Most of them were born on the Canary Islands but didn’t make it to the album because of timing or concept reasons. It’s really nice to experiment with those tunes right now and play them during my summer festival shows! I feel like I’m slowly getting closer to a selection of which ones I want to release. It’s very possible that my album shows in the Fall will get a fresh twist with these tunes!

WWD: All Fejká related projects are coming out on your own imprint, Coexist. Can you talk us through your initial vision? How has it evolved in the last 9 months?

The evolution of Coexist is really special to us as a label team. It started years ago with a general vision of finding balance in my music, expressed with the concept of polarities. Now, years later we release crazy live performances on huge cliffs on Gran Canaria, events on a boat inviting acts like Kiasmos or Stimming, or finding talents like Kawari who we shaped from 500 to 50k monthly listeners In just 2 months.

It feels so great to see people resonating with the label’s vision, and let the project grow organically. Our highest goal is to create real art and a community, next to shaping awareness for our surroundings such as nature and climate change. We are not a chill music label. We are not a club music label. We are Coexist.

WWD: You’ve also started an event series via the label. How did that come to be? Is there a show you’re most proud of? Any challenges you didn’t think you’d overcome?

I have to say – starting an event series in 2024 where costs are rising and festivals are dying wasn’t the easiest timing. Having a full-time career, managing yourself, and establishing a new label next to it doesn’t make it easier! On the other hand, I learned so much from doing these events and the feedback, new contacts and my resulting artist image as a promoter has given me a huge boost. Inviting Acts like Christian Löffler, Weval, Kiasmos, Budakid, Natascha Polké or my good friend Teho – every show was so unique and it really felt like there was a new community building in the Melodic Scene of my hometown of Stuttgart. We’re currently working on new shows in Berlin and outside of Germany and expanded the concept with the labels vision – smooth concerts during the day followed by club nights, combining the best of day & night music where you can dream and dance to!

WWD: Do you have any Pre-Show Rituals?

I realized that drinking one beer before the show makes me feel a little bit more comfortable and alive, haha! When I’m really nervous, I do breath work like the Wim Hof method, I really recommend that!

WWD: What does the rest of 2025 look like for you?

Releasing new songs, playing shows, and preparing for 2026! Already working on the next album at the same time 🙂 I hope to see some of you on my tour!

WWD: Sounds incredible! Thanks for chat 🙂
