There is a certain kind of magic that happens when a classically trained mind meets a dancefloor, and Giorgia Angiuli has spent her career proving exactly that. Her latest offering, ‘Light’, arrives as part of Terminal M’s brand new various artists compilation, BANGERS Vol. 11, and it captures everything that makes her one of the most distinctive voices in electronic music today.

‘Light’ is a peak time, driving techno cut built for the biggest moments of the night. Rolling at a confident 135 BPM, the track pairs a relentless low end with the dreamy, otherworldly textures that have become Giorgia’s signature. Where many producers would settle for pure force, she weaves in melody, atmosphere and a sense of playfulness, using her voice and unconventional sounds to lift the energy skyward. It is powerful and hypnotic without ever losing its human warmth, a reminder that techno can be both hard hitting and deeply emotive.

The track sits alongside three other floor focused weapons on BANGERS Vol. 11, a four track compilation curated by Terminal M and label boss Monika Kruse. The collection also features Ignacio Arfeli with ‘Do It All Again’, Superstrobe with ‘Voices’ and ADRIANNA with ‘Outta Control’, making for a tight and uncompromising snapshot of where the label’s sound sits right now. Each name brings its own flavour, yet Giorgia’s contribution stands out as one of the most textured and imaginative moments of the release.

Born in Puglia, the heel of Italy’s boot, Giorgia Angiuli is a classically trained musician, composer and multi instrumentalist who developed a fascination with electronic music early in her life. Her solo project moves fluidly between pop, techno and house, and she uses her voice to create a dreamy dimension intensified by an arsenal of unique toy instruments. During her live sets she combines keyboards, drum pad and theremin with the sounds of a toy flute, sax, trumpets and countless other toys, mixing samples and loops into a vibrating, energetic groove that sets the dancefloor alight. Since 2013 she has released on some of the biggest names in the game, including Stil vor Talent, Crosstown Rebels, Kindisch, Kevin Saunderson’s legendary KMS, Harry Klein, Einmusika, Systematic and Suara.

Behind the release is Terminal M, the Munich rooted imprint founded and steered by techno icon Monika Kruse. For years the label has been a reliable home for club ready, quality driven techno, championing both established artists and rising talent. With the BANGERS series, Terminal M distils that ethos into pure, no nonsense dancefloor ammunition, and Vol. 11 continues the tradition in style. Giorgia Angiuli’s ‘Light’ feels right at home here, a shining example of the label’s knack for pairing raw energy with real musicality.

You can now listen to the full premiere of ‘Light’ exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
