Viers kicks off new label with Temptation EP

22 year old Jordan Saxton isn’t one to sit still. With three aliases frequently on the go he has continually surprised us in showing what one artist can do, particularly one so young. Flip flopping between lighthearted disco beats to searing industrial techno and then to good old fashioned house music it seems that there is very little that this man can’t do. This time he has broken out the Viers name once again to bring us a very special double headed surprise.

First things first is the new label Hokkaido dance club. Established in conjunction with MDNGHT records founder Don Found. Jordan now has the freedom to express and show us what it is that makes him tick musically and also to project some of his favorite artists onto a bigger stage. A quick look at this mans Soundcloud page will show you that he is always creating something and hardly ever to the same recipe as its predecessor. Always changing, evolving.

Then there is the premier release on this brand new label of his courtesy of the man himself. This two track record entitled Temptation. He keeps things short and sweet but leaves enough of a taste in your mouth to leave you wanting more and also to be wondering what is next from this label of his.

The title track opens things up with fast paced hi hats and a kick, joined in by lo-fi crowd samples to give the record a live recording feeling. Then without warning in come the piano chords. While the piano house thing has been done to death Viers slightly heavier and faster paced take in things is refreshing. A female vocal takes you further down the rabbit hole. Unrelenting intensity with Viers’s classic harder style of house is the perfect opener for the record. On the flip is “I feel it”, More of the same with a fast paced and heavy hitting base lines, this record is surely doing damage on a dance floor not too far from you. Hand stamped and tuned to perfection HDC 001 is out right now and is a very promising opener for this new label and another impressive release for the young Leeds man. Hokkaido Dance Club. One to keep a close eye on.
