Hauswerks & Doorly rekindle their occasional collaboration for two more slices of house magic on Get Physical Music. The pair last appeared on the label with 2018’s ‘Another Wrong Turn’, which proved huge. And it’s no wonder because Hauswerks has been at the sharp end of underground house and tech for more than a decade. He’s appeared on leading labels like Hot Creations and Moon Harbour, and always remains one step ahead of the game. Meanwhile, Doorly is also a global player with credits on Cajual and Play It Say It. He’s a main room house man who can make an impact on even the biggest crowds, as well as being a BBC Radio 1 regular and in-demand remixer.

They open up this one with ‘Baby Blues,’ a steamy and late-night house track designed to turn any dance floor into a cauldron. Psychedelic keys loop over a chunky beat while shadowy voices bleed in and out of the mix. An atmospheric breakdown eventually gives way to a big drop that will power up the crowd once more. The super ‘C’est Moi’ is a fulsome and dubby tech house roller with weighty bass. An intoxicating vocal wail serves as a call to action and dub techno chords flesh things out even more.
The Tribal Misfits EP brings fresh character and energy from this accomplished pair.
