Underher returns to Renaissance with the eagerly anticipated sequel to ‘Everything Goes’, ‘You Can’t Give Me What I Want EP’. The track shares a kinship with its predecessor as it’s yet another slice of ethereal beauty featuring a male vocal. It’s very much an instantly recognizable Underher record, who elects to present two versions, the organic leaning, slowed tempo of the original, and a very of the moment ‘State Of Independence’ mix, which will no doubt please those who spend a majority of their time and money in the Beatport Indie section.

Remix honors go to the most excellent Tim Engelhardt, who sprinkles it with a healthy dose of studio magic and further underlines his fast-rising status within the world of melodic house and techno. His very clever addition of piano turns it into one of the classiest, most uplifting re-works in recent memory.

“I loved UNDERHER’s original and its melancholic vibe and was naturally drawn to make a version that embraces all of the original emotions while adding a different vibe underneath and giving it my personal touch. One of the most fun remixes I’ve done in a while!” – Tim Engelhardt

Lastly, we re-visit, ’Everything Goes’, courtesy of another Renaissance family regular, Heîk who teams up with Words Of Niō, to take us on a dark, breakbeat fantasy, which he was specifically commissioned to create. “I really enjoyed the challenge of doing something a bit different,” he confirms, “Renaissance gave me quite a lot of time to work on the remix and I think it shows. It provided me the room to explore a genre I love, but don’t normally work in.”

You can now listen to the full premiere of Tim Engelhardt’s remix exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
