9 June 2017

This is the time of the week when you put on your most beautiful clobber and your most comfortable shoes, because you are about to have a good time on the dance floor of the disco! Before leaving though, it is crucial to warm up a little. Courtesy of our pals at Traxsource: The home of modern house music, we’ve assembled for you a few tunes that will make you stretch those legs a little. Come on, we’re certain that John Travolta would have liked to have this opportunity before going out. The wildcard selection this week features acts of the like of Weiss, Mat.Joe, Demuja just to name a few.

WWD Wildcard Selection

5. SIRS, Tiger & Woods – Drop It (Tiger & Woods Perdoname Mix) [Sirsounds Records]

SIRS also know has David Klein has teamed up with the mysterious duo Tiger & Woods to deliver a disco infused cut. Pump up the volume for that cosmic boogie!

4. Demuja – Move [Freerange Recordings]

Austrian DJ and producer Demuja brings to light a stellar four-tracker on the iconic London label imprint ‘’Freerange ‘’. The lead track, ‘’Move’’, is a raw house cut true to the Demuja sound.

3. Mat.Joe – Turner [Weapons]

The well known German-duo Mat.Joe make their debut on ‘’Weapons’’ with this hypnotising record ‘’Turner’’. A WWD approved weapon for the after hours.

2. Kindimmer – Mental Pictures [Kaleido]

The Berlin-based producer Kindimmer grabbed our attention with the effective groove he’s crafted for his latest one. Enjoy!

1. Jesse Rose, Weiss (UK) – Street Feet (Original Mix) [Play It Down]

On top of our wildcard selection this week it’s Jesse Rose and the UK House don Weiss. An effeicient body mover ‘’ Street Feet’’ will surely do heavy damage on the dance-floor.
