It’s rare you find genuine originality when listening to new music these days. In a world where there is a constant pressure for artists to put out new material the end result has been a distinct lack of quality. That’s why when this sumptuous little EP dropped into our promo box we were pleasantly surprised. Eagles and Butterflies has produced a release of real worth here. The production is on point. The percussion is lush to the point of perfection. It’s a treat on the earbuds.

Clandestin is an incredibly varied adventure. It opens with Solar Flare a downtempo original that has an epic quality to it, the strings in the background helping to create a suspense laden atmosphere. Next up is Crescendo for us the standout track here, tribal percussion packed full of energy alongside some carefully places vocal samples and nice pad work. The final piece of the puzzle is Mantra which has clearly been aimed more directly at the dancefloor. It’s a bustling groover which will be sure to turn some heads. All three tracks are different but tied together by the unique style of this emerging artist. We can expect a lot more to come from this man who has already impressed on the likes of Bedrock and who will be holding residency at one of the groovier affairs on the White Isle this summer Clandestine with Felix Da Housecat at Space. Full EP was released this week on Manual Music get it here
