Cali Lanauze is a Puerto Rican DJ, producer, and rising force in house music, known for his deep, dubby grooves and emotive, melody-rich storytelling. Cali blends glitchy textures and driving rhythms into a sound that’s all his own. Starting his career at just 15, Cali quickly earned the support of legends like Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, and Radio Slave. His productions have landed on some of the most respected labels in the scene, including Crosstown Rebels, Rebellion, SATYA, Slacker 85, Flying Circus, Visionquest, My Favorite Robot, and Serialism, with tracks regularly charting the Beatport Top 100.

As the cofounder of the Opulence imprint, he’s curated releases from icons like Roman Flügel, Ryan Crosson, and Dan Ghenacia, while simultaneously pushing Puerto Rico’s electronic scene forward. Cali’s hypnotic sets have taken him to global stages like Hi Ibiza, Brooklyn Mirage, Flash DC, SXM Festival, and Get Lost Mexico, sharing decks with luminaries such as Dixon, Damian Lazarus, Black Coffee, Diplo, and Lee Burridge. With debuts on Maison D’Etre and Crosstown Rebels recently under his belt and a bold new chapter unfolding with Opulence, Cali Lanauze’s ascent shows no signs of slowing down.

This week, he lends his textured touch to our Prima Lux series with a slinky, genre-blending affair — made for early morning reverie, dim-lit dancefloors, and everything in between. Enjoy!
