Spektre are back with the second of two back-to-back releases on their record label Respekt, and it’s another explosive EP in the duo’s usual style of Peak Time Techno.

Based in the UK, Spektre are a highly respected pair of techno producers known for their dark and menacing style, which fuses thundering percussion and enthralling synth lines.

Not only have they featured numerous releases on their record label Respekt, but they have also featured their music on other prestigious outlets such as Filth on Acid, Drumcode, 1605, and Kraftek.

Respekt has also signed tracks by other artists ranging from exciting new talents such as Mha iri, to longstanding veterans like Marco Bailey, and Spektre save the best of their output on their imprint.

The EP’s title track “Jilted” opens proceedings with its monstrous kick drum and brutal percussion, which is underpinned by a rumbling bassline. Shimmering pads contrast with the acid stabs and rhythmic vocal pads that add to the exhilarating energy of this slamming slice of techno.

“Don’t Need You” has thrashing hi-hats and a pulsating bassline that surround the modulating arpeggio synth that fills the track with relentless energy. Vocal bursts add to the invigorating vibe of this menacing track.

You can listen to the full premiere of ‘Don’t Need You,’ exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
