Salomé Le Chat and The Mekanism join forces for the next Bambossa release, dropping a high-energy two-track EP fully embodying their combined passion and devotion to music. Parisian producer The Mekanism remains in high demand on stages across the world with releases on labels including Play It Say It, Moan Recordings, and hedZup Records. It was in Paris where The Mekanism first met REALM RECORDS and Rebellion artist Salomé Le Chat, a driven love of music united them and eventually led to ‘Hot Mess’.
Kicking off with ‘A Love Affair’, an upbeat house roller with a childlike playfulness. Filled with hazy synths and a groove-filled bassline full of bounce that defines Salomé’s personal style pulling elements of New York house where she currently resides partnered with European techno influences from The Mekansim’s Parisian home. Followed up with an equally strong tune ‘Hot Mess’ is anything but! Mesmerizing chord progressions lead you into gentle security – until the bass drops and takes you down the rabbit hole into a hefty 4/4 beat. The track’s simple percussion keeps the focus on a killer bassline which defies you not to dance, a running theme throughout this whole spectacular EP, as the artists said themselves “It’s the only love affair we ever had”.
