Label head honcho Fur Coat, presents his new ‘Time Traveler’ EP on Oddity. A very personal, profound and special piece created for Oddity. The EP’s first track ‘Ancient Stories’ offers a melancholic and emotional atmosphere. Arpeggios and groove slowly build-up, to unmask the beautiful chord progressions, with unique synth tones, which are the main element of the track, creating a beautiful summer closing anthem.
Continuing with the tracklist, ̈Time Ahead ̈ shows a darker and deeper cut. A unique arp synth plays with the other quirky elements, that slowly build up, creating a nice energetic atmosphere. ‘Ephemera’ is the grooviest cut on the EP. The dark tones, groove, and synth make it very catchy. The detuned chord pads give a special touch to the track. The closing track ‘Lost Days’ evokes airs of early 2000’s breaks, reshaped in a modern approach with groovy bass, subtle vocals, and beautiful synths coming into play together.
