Sarkis Mikael‘s Eternity EP on The Soundgarden takes the listener on a journey through space and time. From the ethereal soundscapes of ‘Celestial ‘to the smooth rhythms of ‘Eternity’ and via ‘Particles’ combination of phase, spoken word samples and pounding kick drums, there’s something here for every listener. Here’s Sarkis to tell you more about the inspirations and processes behind this stellar release:

“It is January 2020, and as I reflect on the past year, I am grateful for everything life had to offer. As I begin setting goals for the new year, I find myself spending a lot of time outdoors connecting with nature.

I feel inspired and excited to express my feelings through harmonious frequencies. ‘Celestial’: I feel melancholic, yet hopeful. I push barriers in order to reach a divine energy. ‘Particles’: I ask questions about our existence and the universe. Alan Watts responds with words of wisdom. ‘Eternity’: I look up to the sky, the breeze blowing on my skin. I take a deep breath, feeding my soul with enough love to last an eternity.

It is now May 2020. My plans and expectations are not going the way I anticipated. I look around and I realize I am not the only one. We are in this together. I set new intentions and hope for this situation to serve as a reminder to cherish the time we spend with our loved ones, to treat all earthlings with reverence, and to take better care of ourselves and the environment.”
