Following new single Caught Up ft. SHE KORO earlier this year, former international break dancer turned celebrated house producer Wongo returns with six great remixes of the original. Enlisting established artists and rising underground talent alike, Kyle Watson, The Sponges, Needs No Sleep, Rocksted, Tim Light and SODF all step up for solid reworks.

A born and bred Aussie, Wongo’s signature style of mesmerizing house, rumbling bass and genre defying flair puts him on the map beyond the gold coast. Having played big name festivals like EDC Las Vegas and shows around the US whilst picking up nods of approval along the way from dance music heavyweights like Claude Vonstroke, Justin Martin, Danny Howard, and Fisher, it’s clear Wongo’s humorous persona paired with an ear for dance weapons has gained international success.

Known for his earlier catalogue with tunes like Relax and Be 2 Be, as well as pushing new artists on his Box Of Cats label, Wongo isn’t even at the peak of his career. More recently he treated fans to new single Tic Toc that gave listeners their first taste into his forthcoming album. His most masterful turn yet might be his upcoming Im The DJ diss track taking aim at a certain Los Angeles selector and pretentious DJ culture alike. But for now, he continues to showcase Caught Up and fellow DJs alike with remixes that take the original to a whole different level whilst in the midst of his US and Australia IM THE DJ tour. Need No Sleep’s interpretation boasts sub shaking vibrations and pulsating lasers whilst Rocksted takes Caught Up to futuristic realms with prominent interstellar breakdowns. Elsewhere, The Sponges add their signature bass with exotic funk and disco infused riffs and Kyle Watson transforms the original with a robotic vocal paired with a grooving bass and celestial warps. SODF shifts up a gear and into uplifting house territories with experimental vocal chops and synth patterns. Drawing the remix pack to a close, Tim Light reworks with progressive bass and an essence of acid house, marking the Caught Up remixes as a diverse pack from artists with undeniable talent.

You can listen to the full premiere of Kyle Watson‘s remix exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy !
