A decade. Ten whole years. For ten years now Gottwood has acted as a mecca for like-minded, educated partygoers. A haven to let loose, free from scrutiny, in the bucolic Welsh countryside. Growing in size year after year, there is a palpable sense of excitement surrounding this year’s edition, as we enter the Summer season in a haze of enchanting anticipation.
As ever the festival remains true to its roots and is supporting the fast-rising stars of the scene, as well as inviting the most respected selectors and live acts from around the world. These acts, alongside the unique and carefree crowd, all eagerly assemble each June wanting to participate in something special, and most importantly all proud to call themselves the Gottwood family.
The eclectic lineup has always been a factor in the festivals deserved success. Fancy some drum and bass? Well, the Exit Records showcase on Friday should be ample to suffice the thirstiest of appetites. Head honcho, D-Bridge, alongside cold-stepper king Skepticle, with Fixate, Dolenz and Itoa rounding off the bill. Heavy-duty business.
If you’re after something a little lighter, then look no further than Antal… or Dj Boring… or Jamie Tiller… or Bambounou… or Em Williams. See what we mean? There really is something for everyone.

We’re going to rattle off our personal favourites here: Sonja Moonear, Margaret Dygas, Lenzman, LSB, Banoffee Pies, Move D, Peach, Digby, Harry McCanna. The list goes on… and on… and on.
But don’t take our word on who to see. Gottwood is about the experience, the unknown; chasing, losing, finding, feeling: allow your pre-conceptions to be subdued, your plans to be quelled, as you dive headfirst into the wondrous pool of Gottwood. In the moment, at one with the surroundings, blissfully moving through the tranquil Welsh countryside, as a beautifully curated soundscape trundles gently along beside you.
